8.3. Publishing Your Game

Learning Objectives

When you have finished section 8.3, you should be able to:

  1. Determine whether your game is worth publishing.
  2. Work with contracts.
  3. Meet milestones.

Required Tasks

  1. Study Chapter 22, Publishing Your Game, in the eTextbook.
  2. Go through the interview.
  3. Complete the Chapter 22 quiz, and check your answers in Appendix A.

Optional Task

  1. Find a game development business close to you, and talk to the manager about current or future job openings. Ask whether you are ready to take any of the positions, or in what areas you would need to improve to prepare yourself to work in the game development business.
